Fight the towers
A newly formed cross-border coalition opposed to high-powered radio transmission towers in Point Roberts has started raising funds to cover the cost of fighting to stop a proposed five-tower AM radio array at the corner of Tyee Drive and Mackenzie Way.
A fundraising concert is scheduled for this Saturday.

This weekend will be the last weekend market for the Point Roberts Homegrown Co-op, and summer veggies like tomatoes, cukes, arugula and dragon beans will be on sale. Hours: Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1702 Benson Road. |
