Hydrant painting extended
The fire department's hydrant painting competition will be extended to Friday, September 6.
Please note that hydrants that have been painted are not available to be painted over. "We have had a few incidents of beautiful hydrants being recovered in white," fire chief Chris Carleton said. He urges community members to be respectful of others' work.
"If you are aware of anyone painting over or vandalizing painted hydrants, please contact me immediately and contact the Sheriff," Carleton said. "This will not be tolerated and anyone found to be participating in this type of act will be subject to all applicable laws."
For more information or to contact the fire chief, call 945-3473.
