The afternoon group from the Park and Recreation District's Kids Summer Camp enjoys a day at Maple Beach July 24. The program runs until Wednesday, July 31 and offers daytime summer camp activities to children ages 6-12.

On July 6 children and teen librarian Rose Momsen led a program of crafts and activities all about garden gnomes, winding up with a trip to the community garden to pick some fresh veggies! Momsen is leading summer reading club crafts every Saturday in July from 11 a.m. until noon. For more photos, visit website.

Lee Glass, Kaela Cammidge, Wayne Gauvin and Naomi Shucard at the B.C. Cancer Foundation's Underwear Affair in Vancouver. The Underwear Affair draws 1,025 participants to race, walk or complete challenges in downtown Vancouver wearing underwear and outrageous attire to support leading-edge research and enhancements to care for cancers which occur below-the-belt. This year's event raised $625,000 for the foundation.

Take advantage of Point Roberts' fantastic summer weekend markets while you can! 

Point Roberts Homegrown Co-op Farm Stand is open Fridays from 3 to 6 p..m and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1702 Benson Road, and offers fresh, local organic produce. 

The Saturday Morning Market is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through August 31 in the community center's west parking lot, and offers a variety of produce, arts, crafts, jewelry and more. Rain cancels.
