Celebrate 100 years at Trinity Church

  

 

Trinity Lutheran Community Church celebrates their 100 year anniversary this weekend with two days packed with events. Stop by 1880 APA Road this weekend to join in the party: 

 

Driving Tour: Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., self-guided driving tour of church charter members' homestead locations. Maps at the church. 

 

Open House: Saturday, July 20, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Trinity Community Lutheran Church, 1880 APA Road. Open house and historical display, 1931 - present. 

 

Berry Social: Saturday, July 20, 1-3 p.m., Trinity Community Lutheran Church, 1880 APA Road. Point Roberts Winds will play. Admission by donation. 

 

The Gospel Boys: Saturday, July 20, 7 p.m., Trinity Community Lutheran Church, 1880 APA Road. Members of the Welsh Men's Choir take the stage indoors. Admission by donation. Info: 945-7105.

Public hearing on character plan

  

 

Whatcom County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing next week on proposed changes to the character plan that would allow the Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee (PRCAC) to assume the role of character plan advisory committee. 

 

On Thursday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Whatcom County Northwest Annex, 5280 Northwest Drive in Bellingham, the commission will hear from county staff about the proposed changes and take public testimony.
