If you're interested in affecting change in Point Roberts, now is the time to do it.

Plan ahead for weekend travel

Travelers planning trips across the border this weekend should be prepared for Victoria Day weekend traffic. Be sure to plan ahead and check border wait times before setting off. Border traffic volumes are expected to peak this weekend, which traditionally marks the start of the summer travel season.

To best avoid delays at the Peace Arch port of entry, travelers may try the Sumas crossing, where a NEXUS lane operates between 7 and 11 a.m. seven days a week. The Lynden port is also open from 8 a.m. until midnight.

Ready lanes are open at Peace Arch (8 a.m.- 1 p.m., Monday through Friday) and Lynden (noon- 4 p.m., Monday through Friday) for those with RFID-enabled cards.

To check wait times, visit wsdot.wa.gov/Congestion/border/
