OBITUARY

Tom Watson Miller

December 20, 1944 - April 11, 2013
Tom Watson Miller passed away peacefully at a hospice house in Bellingham on April 11, 2013. He was born December 10, 1944 in Cranbrook, B.C. to David and Roseania Miller. A gathering will be held at the Flying Beaver pub in Richmond, B.C. on Saturday, April 27 at 3 p.m. Read full obituary.

Whatcom County Fire District 


 
Whatcom County Fire District 5 is looking for interested community members to be volunteer District Ambassadors. The Ambassador Program is being established to create an organization of interested supporters of WCFD5 to represent and support WCFD5 and its needs to the public and in other situations as needed by WCFD5. Members will be solicited from local homeowners' associations, businesses, and civic organizations that have an interest in the well-being of WCFD5. This is a volunteer position within the meaning of the FLSA. As such, individuals serving in this position do so for civic, charitable and/or humanitarian reasons, without promise, expectation or receipt of compensation for services rendered, as defined in the FLSA. Interviews for this position will be conducted in May with specific date to be set. Interested persons should send resume and letter of interest to Chief Christopher Carleton at chief@wcfd5.com or to the station located at 2030 Benson Road, Point Roberts, WA 98229.
