Davea Fisher in critical condition

On October 17, Davea Fisher suffered a massive stroke while already in Peacehealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham. She is not expected to recover and life-support will be discontinued Saturday.

The family is asking community members to send her cards and emails. Her husband John asked that those who could not visit Davea in her last days send her their thoughts, which will also be a comfort to family members. "John wanted her kids to know she had friends," Momsen said.

Cards can be sent to Davea Fisher c/o Peacehealth, 2901 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham, WA 98225, or to the Fisher home at 2255 Uscandia Lane in Point Roberts. Emails can be sent to daveaf@aol.com.

Flowers cannot be delivered to the intensive care unit and should not be sent. The hospital gift shop can offer assistance for those who wish to send a card or a gift. Call 360/734-5400 and ask for the gift shop.
