In Memoriam
Longtime member, Dorothy Piche passed away on Monday, July 11th.  Dorothy has not been able to attend services for many years, but loved to read the newsletter.  She is the mother of another longtime member, Lynn Douglas.  Please keep Lynn and her family in your thoughts.
Crossing the finish line together
by Martha Dallas

Once upon a time, when I coached soccer, I led my players in a team-building exercise. The challenge was to sprint from one end of the field to the other, all holding hands, without breaking the chain. They had to cross the line together. When they did, they cheered and group-hugged in their joy of accomplishment!

I have a goal of recruiting 75% of RE stewards for each class by the start of the RE year, with 100% of roles filled by mid-November. This will better support our teaching teams, who will in turn, better support our groups of kids!

I can't meet this goal alone!

How can you join me?

If you know you're going to do something in the UU RE realm next year, let me know as soon as you can! Give me your preferences and limitations so I can place you where you most want to be. I would appreciate this tremendously, as it will save me time trying to catch so many busy summer folks, and will give me more time to put all the people-pieces together!

Please fill out THIS MINI-FORM, which gives me your contact info and the basics of what you'd like to do, and I'll get back to you if I have questions, or to suggest a role for you.

With the deepest of gratitude for all who share their lives and journeys with our younger UUs,

Martha
