Afterword...
January 4, 2016
Dear Friends,

Yesterday we ushered in both the New Year and also this month's theme of "Time" with a focus on new beginnings. Martha talked about moments in time using her bedside rug which reminds her every morning to step into the new day. Click here to read her "Reflections for All Ages".

We heard Rev. Don Beaudreault's thoughtful poem to appreciate "the now" and keep the future malleable.

I talked about how much of our lives, at every age, are made up of new beginnings.
Jenny Peterson, our guest musician, brought the passage about Hayden's Creation Oratorio to life by playing the opening C minor chord.

The description of the beginning of time is from Chet Raymo's Night Sky and the references to church culture today can be found in Gil Rendle's book, Leading Change in the Congregation.

The service ended with Jenny's beautiful rendition of Beethoven's 'Pathetique'.

Warmly,
Phyllis
