THIS SUNDAY, January 3
Beginning this Sunday, all liturgies may be downloaded from our website, csmsg.org. Go to service leaflets on "This Sunday" to view or download the pdf files for the liturgy and notices. A condensed printed version of the Sunday leaflet will be available at all services.
Centering Prayer is in the Ministry Spotlight this Sunday.
Please stop by and see Jeanne Allison in the Great Hall to learn more about this wonderful way to pray! The group meets 9:30-10:45 AM, in St. George's Chapel every three weeks. Our Centering Prayer Group is open to anyone interested in practicing and learning more about Centering Prayer, a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God's presence within us. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. Contact Jeanne Allison at 314.497.9038 or jallison49@charter.net for more information.

THIS WEEK
Women's Bible Study:
Mondays, 9-9:45 AM, Armstrong Room
This Monday, Molly Schilling will lead a discussion of "The Epiphany." For more information, contact Laurie Brown at Laurie@csmsg.org.
Next Monday, January 11, Kyle Schenkewitz, our Youth Minister, will begin a study of "The Drama of Scripture." We will discuss how the biblical narrative unfolds into six "acts"-- from the establishment of God's kingdom to the "return of the King." This study is for you if you have ever wondered how the Bible hangs together or how to make sense of it all. Scripture is more than a set of separate books; it's a compelling drama that unfolds from beginning to end. Learn how God's story continues in our lives here and now and how to discover our meaning and place in it. This study will be great for seasoned Christians looking for a new way to read the Bible, as well as for new believers who want to understand the Scriptures. Join us as we begin this new study on January 11.

Wonderful Wednesdays
Father Blake's upcoming classes:
Epiphany: An Introduction to the Episcopal Church
Where did we come from? Who were our "founding fathers" as a church? How did we get from there to where we are today? What role does St. Michael & St. George have to play in it all? Join us Wednesdays in Epiphany starting January 13 for a four-week introduction to the Episcopal Church.
Lent: Christian Prayer in the Anglican Tradition
Christian Prayer is an immensely rich topic, and our inheritance as Anglicans is especially vibrant. Join us on Wednesdays in Lent (starting February 17) as we discuss this heritage, along with specific ways each of us can approach God by prayer in our lives today. Topics will include The Book of Common Prayer, sacred music, the Liturgy, and private devotion.
Saturday, January 16
Sandwich Making will take place Saturday, January 16. All parishioners are invited and encouraged to join the St. Michael's Hunger Ministry on the third Saturday of each month from 10-11 AM in the Taylor Room to make sandwiches for the Bridge and FOCUS St. Louis clients.
Sunday, January 24
The 87th Annual CSMSG Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 24, following the 9:15 AM liturgy. Plan now to attend this informative and entertaining event. Best of all is the lunch following the meeting. Chili, soups and pies are needed for the lunch. Please contact Laurie at Laurie@csmsg.org if you are able to make a pot of chili or soup or make a pie. Note: there will not be an 11:15 service on that day.
