Stewardship is a long-term, lifelong, and deliberate act of generosity.
Generous giving in the past, the present, and the future helps sustain the ministry and mission of The Church of St. Michael & St. George. There are saints who no longer live amongst us, but whose gifts continue to support this Church's ministry as it moves into the future. Please prayerfully consider hearing this call to be a lifelong, deliberate, and generous giver to the body of Christ and the communion of saints. Pledge cards will be mailed October 24; Pledge Sunday and the Pancake Brunch are November 1. |

WOMEN'S RETREAT Save the Date!
Friday and Saturday, March 18-19, 2016
Mark your calendar for the next Women's Retreat on March 18-19.
The Venerable Mimsy Jones, Archdeacon, will be the Retreat leader.
Since being ordained a deacon in 1994, Mimsy has served at Calvary Church, Church of the Holy Communion, St. Thomas, Somerville, and St. James, Bolivar. In her ministry, she seeks above all a wise balance between activity and contemplation. Having been immersed in outreach ministry for years, both before and after ordination, she recently has concentrated on the interior life. She was deeply affected by the training she received with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, finding peace and joy in the presence of children experiencing Jesus Christ as the Good Shepherd.
Mimsy believes in the value of silence and stillness and has had the delight of working with the Calvary ECW in planning weekend retreats, and with other Calvary women in forming St. Clare Retreats, monthly silent retreats for women. Mimsy says, "I also have become absorbed in studying and interpreting Holy Scripture, and continue to be inspired by the privilege of 'teaching' women in Bible study."
Plan now to join us for 24 hours, Friday March 18 at 4 PM until Saturday March 19 at 4 PM. You will be glad you did! More information to follow. Contact Laurie Brown with questions at Laurie@csmsg.org.
