"Celebrating Our History, Insuring Our Future"
Planned Giving at CSMSG
Planned Giving is a term for the number of ways in which parishioners can insure that their stewardship efforts continue after their death by making a gift to the Endowment Fund. If you care enough about your church to make a faithful annual pledge, contributing to our Endowment Fund should be a natural next step. If you are interested in more information about making a planned gift to CSMSG, please visit our website at www.csmsg.org for more information, or contact the Rector's Office at 314.721.1502.

Mondays
Monday Night Bible Study
6:30 PM Library
Fr. Jed continues his Bible Study on The Gospel of John at 6:30 PM in the Library. All are welcome.
Tuesdays
Church Service League/Susan Mount Guild
11 AM Great Hall
It's called Lunch & Learn and that's just what we did this past Tuesday. Nancy Ferriss, our Treasurer and a member of Community of Hope (COH), and Dr. Mary Ann Cook, who recently assumed charge of the COH, spoke about Community of Hope, its history, becoming a member, training, and how the group functions. We also shared some pointers about visiting those who are ill, confined, or just in need of a friendly face. CSL/SMG appreciates both of these women helping us learn more about COH.
Next week, on February 25, we will meet as usual to address final plans for the Lenten Speaker Series and talk about applying this week's talk to a future project we are planning.
Bible Class meets at 11 AM, lunch ($7) at Noon, with fellowship and discussion to follow. Questions? Reservations? Call Jane Cox at 636.394.3441.
Fridays
Women's Bible Study & Breakfast
7:30 AM Sverdrup Room
Join Fr. Mike Wheeler as he directs the study of the Acts of the Apostles. All women are welcome to attend these study sessions. We meet in the Sverdrup Room at 7:30 AM and are finished by 8:30 AM. A light breakfast is served. Come and nourish both your body and soul.

The Right Rev. Geralyn Wolf was ordained to the diaconate in 1977 and to the priesthood in 1978 in the Diocese of Pennsylvania. Prior to her election she was, from 1986-1995, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in the Diocese of Kentucky, the first woman dean of a cathedral.
In 2003 Bishop Wolf spent her sabbatical, a month, as "Aly", a homeless woman, in shelters and soup kitchens across the northeast United States. "I had a sense that in my rather privileged position I was losing touch with what I was yearning for, which was a sort of earthiness. There was something that I found in the poor that struck my own poverty and brought me to some level of deeper freedom."
Bishop Wolf retired in 2013. She serves on several national committees and is the Liturgist for the House of Bishops. She is an associate of the Society of St. Margaret; a Companion of the Oratory of the Good Shepherd; an ecumenical oblate of Mount Saviour Monastery in Elmira, NY; and has visited and worked with the Taize-Community in France. Bishop Wolf is the author of several published anthems and articles.
For more information, contact Laurie at Laurie@csmsg.org or 314.721.1502.

Outreach
Shelter Ministry Volunteers Needed
The Shelter Ministry is looking for a handful of additional dedicated volunteers who would be willing to commit to serving at the Shelter breakfast one Sunday a month, i.e. the first, second, third, or fourth Sunday of each month. We need folks who will help with cooking, set-up, and serving breakfast from 6:15 AM to about 8:15 AM. We are also looking for volunteers to form dishwashing crews for each Sunday. This role would be different from the regular breakfast volunteers in that your time commitment is only from 7:30 AM to about 8:25 AM. If any among you are willing to say, "Here I am", please contact Nick Clifford at 314.997.4011 or nickclifsr@yahoo.com or Laurie Brown at laurie@csmsg.org to answer any questions you might have about this arrangement and, of course, which Sunday of the month you would like to serve if this opportunity suits you.

Help Us Grow
Seeds for Growth!
Wonderful stories are unfolding in our Church every day: Stories of faith, devotion, and love for our neighbors. Great things truly are happening here. But if CSMSG is to continue with great things, if we are to continue to grow, we need your help.
Please pick up a CSMSG business card(s) from the "planters" located in the Narthex and Great Hall. Plant one of CSMSG's "Seeds for Growth" in the hand of a friend who is looking to be a part of a wonderful story and a church community. We need your support to help us grow!
