Building Tradition
Summer is in full swing and Fourth of July is here as a booming reminder. While most people enjoy our nations independence with some fire in the sky, cold beer and burgers on the grill, don't forget to remember the true meaning for this epic holiday.
Build some memories with your friends and loved ones. Spend the day outside, on the water or wherever is most special to you. Start a new tradition, make some new friends and don't forget to crack open a delicious cold one!
Cheers and be safe!

Stone Stochasticity
Project Quadrotriticale
Trappist ales as we know them have a proud lineage dating back nearly a century. Rather than follow the footsteps of the monks who forged the quadrupel-the warmest and darkest of monastery offerings-we aimed to test its inherent makeup. In doing so, we added triticale, a hybrid grain combining the pleasant flavor of wheat with the elemental durability and spice of rye, to breathe new life into the malt bill. Because of this, this reimagined brew comes across differently than its classic Belgian predecessors, and beautifully so. Lower in sweetness, but rich with flavors mirroring dried fruit, it's a modern interpretation of one of the most historically sacred styles on Earth. ABV: 9.3%
|
Oskar Blues Old Chub Nitro Cans
This jaw-dropping Scottish strong ale is brewed with bodacious amounts of malted barley and specialty grains, and a dash of beechwood-smoked malt. Old Chub features semi-sweet flavors of cocoa and coffee, and a wee-bit of smoke. A head-turning treat for malt heads and folks who think they don't dig dark beer. ABV: 8%

Rekorderlig Cans

Swamp Head Morning Glow Blonde Ale
A morning awakens with the soft glow of golden perfection. Hazy rays of sunshine peek through the silence, bringing the first light to a new day. Scents of daybreak and sounds of a new beginning permeate the air.
Make your morning, evening, or afternoon glow with our vanilla coffee blonde ale. We've gently infused a delicate blonde with Madagascar vanilla beans and locally roasted blonde coffee, creating a palatable work of art, reminiscent of a vanilla latte paired with a freshly baked scone. ABV: 5.3%

Swamp Head Catherine's Passion
Catherine II, the 18th century Empress of Russia, is said to have been the inspiration behind the creation of the Russian Imperial Stout, an intensely flavored, robust, dark ale with a noticeable alcohol presence. Legend has it that Catherine also had a voracious sexual appetite; she was known to have many lovers, but the story about the stallion was probably a myth.
This Russian Imperial Stout is infused with cocoa nibs and fair trade coffee, to create a sensual stout with an extra kick. We think Catherine's Passion would be aroused by this stout...ale. ABV: 10%
|
Swamp Head Smoke Signal
A little bit of smoke makes everything better, so we cold smoked a portion of our malt for each batch of Smoke Signal. Combined with American hops, Smoke Signal delivers a savory robust smoked porter with a satisfying, smoky finish. ABV: 6.8%
|
Peak Brewing Ginger Saison
We love Ginger for its unique, exotic flavors. Our favorite Saison recipe is the backdrop here, with hints of spice and fruit from the belgian yeast. ABV: 6.0%
|
Peak Brewing Fresh Cut
Fresh Cut is a dry-hopped pilsner. Chinook, Citra and Centennial hops provide aromas of citrus, grass and spice. Though the front palate is loud with IPA qualities, the finish is distinctly pilsner- crisp, dry and extremely refreshing.

|
Peak Brewing Hop Blanc
Hop Blanc is a heavenly White IPA. Local wheat and Belgian yeast give this beer a soft mouthfeel, while Centennial, Simcoe and Citra hops provide a bright rush of tropical and citrus flavors up front. This beer is the cheery, angelic cousin of the more sinister Hop Noir. ABV: 6.4%

Cigar City/Great Lakes Brewing Collaboration: Wandering Pelican
Summer of 2013 introduced the city of Cleveland to a unique and rare visitor. A Brown Pelican, usually found in Florida and other Gulf states, wandered north to vacation on Ohio's Lake Erie coast. Swapping saltwater for fresh, feeding on shad instead of mullet, this welcome stranger made Lake Erie his home for several months and became an unlikely local celebrity. This dark ale honors our courageous friend who traveled off the beaten path to find his home. ABV: 8.2%
|
Look out for new and returning favorites like Stiegl Pils Cans, Cigar City Cucumber Saison, Left Hand Chainsaw, Cigar City Home Front IPA, Avery Karma, Stone RuinTen, and Breckenridge Summerbright.

Rum Runner: Siesta Key Rum
By: Chris Sherman
No industrial park has ever smelled as good to me as this: caramel, honey, cotton candy, butterscotch, even hints of coconut. Ultimately, it's pure vanilla.
It is the scent of Florida rum and the sugar- cane molasses and oak barrels that go into one of the area's first and most successful artisanal spirits, Siesta Key Rum from Drum Circle Dis-
tilling in Sarasota.
The sweet, heady aroma of evaporating spirits
is called the "angel's share'' in Cognac, Barbados, Porto, Jerez and Kentucky, wherever the finest alcohol is made.
