As you may or may not realize, Father's Day is on the horizon (June 15th). This is a great day to show those Fathers in your life how much you appreciate them and how better than with BEER!? (Side note: I am not saying that women don't love beer... but if I were to give my Mother a 6-pack on Mother's day, I might not get the best reaction). So on Father's day, why not grab a 6-pack or a couple nice bottles for good ol' Dad or your husband?
More importantly, it's not just about the gift. It's about quality time with your Father. No, you don't have to belly up to the bar with Pops (although feel free to, if that's your thing). This time of year there are so many activities that go well with beer. For example, hit the golf or frisbee golf course with a few cans of craft beer. In the backyard, you can play some cornhole, bocce ball or horseshoes with a beer in hand, no need to put it down. Why not fire up the BBQ, grill up some steaks and pair it with some summer brews. Really there are so many ways you can enjoy a beer with Dad. We've got a bunch of events below perfect for Father's Day.
Another idea: How about visiting a local brewery? That's a great thing to do. Why not show Dad what's going on in the area with your local brewery, bring him to the tasting room, take a tour, grab a flight? I'd say that's a nice way to spend your Sunday.
Beer has been bringing people together for thousands of years, so take this opportunity to share a pint with Pops and thank him for everything... Yes, you can invite Mom too.

Stone Collective Distortion IPA
An imperial India pale ale ably backed by Nugget, Comet and Calypso hops, and amplified care of a healthy dry-hopping with Vic's Secret, a new Australian hop, adding citrus and tropical fruit oomph. To give this modern masterpiece some soulful, classic character, we traced the roots of brewing to the days when Old World herbs were used to spice beers, adding in coriander and, a first for us, elderberries. To stand up to that sumptuous spice and blaring bitterness, we added golden naked oats, which are lightly roasted and add body and enhanced mouthfeel to the brew like a steady, unbreakable backbeat to an incendiary jam solo. Sit back, crank the volume and get lost in this operatic incarnation of genres combined in the name of invention. 9.3% ABV

Man Allegedly Calls 911 Because His Wife Was Throwing Out His Beer
By: inquisitr.com
A Florida man allegedly called 911 seven times to complain about his wife's interference with his beer.
After the first call, the man told responding West Palm Beach officers that his wife had thrown out his beer. The cops - who reportedly described the man as appearing intoxicated - warned him at that time that 911 was only for real emergencies, according to WPBF.
The domestic disagreement evidently continued to "brew" however, over the next four hours, during which he repeatedly called 911 and was described as uncooperative with the operator in terms of the ability to articulate an actual emergency.
At one point, he told or yelled at the 911 dispatcher that "a woman had broken into two of his beers."
Police charged the man with misuse of the 911 system.

Pity Paul Roof, the Charleston Southern University associate professor who claims he lost his job after an image of his insane, four-pronged beard showed up on a beer can from a local brewery.
The professor was competing in the "freestyle" category of a beard contest in New Orleans when the photo above was taken, and in 2013, Holy City Brewing began using the image on the label of its terribly named Chucktown Follicle Brown beer.
