According to the "experts" Thanksgivukkah will not happen for another 77,798 years. (BTW..How do you become and what exactly is an expert on calendars called?) Not only will you not be alive, nor will your kids, your kid's kids, or potentially the human race! How could this be you ask? It is some kind of crazy combination of the Jewish calendar which operates on a lunar calendar and the fact that FDR designated Thanksgiving to fall only on the 4th Thursday in November. It is just a bit mind boggling...isn't it? Imagine what life will be like almost 80,000 years from now. Will there still be beer in 77,000 AD or will we be drinking synthehol or Romulan Ale? One thing I know for sure is that we should embrace the moment that only happens once in 80 thousand generations. Instead of stuffing...latkes! How about some sweet potato rugalach? Time to crack open Genesis Ale and mix it with a Pumpkin beer. Pass the gravy please...and by the way...don't forget to light the menorah. Adam Fine Director of Hoperations |

Dissecting Walmart's Ability to Sell Craft Beer
By: Chris Furnari
There's beer on the brain in Bentonville.
Walmart, the largest retailer in the world, has said it wants to double its alcohol sales by 2016.
One area of the store Walmart would like to see customers spending more time is the beer aisle. The company is hoping it can grab a significant chunk of the off-premise U.S. beer market, which IRI - a Chicago-based market research firm - pegs at $29.7 billion dollars for the 52-week period ending Nov. 3.
To prove its commitment to category, Walmart has added 100,000 sq. ft. of refrigerated space across its 3,500 locations that sell alcohol in the last 18 months.

More women getting into craft beer, not just as drinkers but also as brewers
By: Nicole Lyn Pesce
Beer-loving ladies are rallying for a woman's right to brews.
A feminist movement is bubbling up in the beer industry, as more women lean in to the bar to buy - and brew - craft beer.
"Guys expect me to order a white wine with an ice cube," says self-described "hop head" Cristina Schreil, 24, from Forest Hills. "I like big flavors and a lot of my girlfriends also tend to lean toward more adventurous beers."

1 Orange (Valencia or Navel), zested and sliced
1 Tangerine, zested and sliced
2 Cup Avery White Rascal (Wit beer)
1/2 Cup Belgian Rock Candy Sugar, clear
1 TSP Coriander, whole, toasted and cracked with the bottom of a pan
1/2 Cup Honey, Wild Flower
1 Pinch Sea Salt
12 Ounces Cranberries, fresh (1 Bag)
Directions: In a large saucepan, add sliced citrus (giving a good squeeze and reserve the zest for later), Wit, Rock Candy, coriander and salt and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved, about 4 minutes. Remove the sliced citrus, add the honey, zest and cranberries; reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer until the cranberries have popped and the sauce has thickened, about 15 minutes. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve. The sauce can be made 2 days before if time or kitchen space is not available the day of.
