It is hard to believe we are now in November. I guess what they say is true about getting older, that time seems to move even faster. It is some sort of sick trick that as we slow down the clock seems to pick up speed. Now that we had to change the clocks and the sun is going down before 6 PM, it just reinforces the shorter feeling that we have for each day. But you can't be upset with the amount of fun things to do this time of year. It just seems harder to get them all in. More stuff to do and less time to do it in! You wonder why we are all stressed just a bit more around this time of year. I need a beer.
Hmmmmm....what if I could invent a beer that actually slows time down? A beer that when you drink it creates an extra hour or two to spend doing the things you like. Just think...you could pop the cap off a beer and voila...all the time you want to do the fun things you enjoy in life including drinking more beer. Let's see, I could add a little dark matter, throw a quark or two in, a little Einsteinium and boom....Time Warp Ale. Time to get to work on this...but first I need a minute or two to have a beer.

Now you can buy beer with Bitcoin in Beijing
By: Curt Hopkins
Beijing's Cafe Bar 2nd Place has become the first bar in China to accept payment in Bitcoin.
At the beginning of the year, when BitInstant's Charlie Shrem adapted his New York City bar Evr to accept the stateless crypto currency, it seemed like at best a proof of concept, at worst a stunt.
Now, at the close of the year, you can get blasted halfway across the world without tipping your hat to fiat money and the restrictions it enforces on its users.

Pumpkin Beer Ice Cream
By: ModernDomestic.com
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
5 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup canned unsweetened pumpkin puree
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 cup pumpkin beer
Directions: In a heavy 2 quart saucepan, combine 1 cup of cream and 1/2 cup of the brown sugar. Warm over medium heat, until small bubbles form at the edges of the mixture-around 5 minutes. In a medium bowl, combine the egg yolks, ginger, salt, and remaining 1/2 cup cream, and the remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar. Whisk until smooth. Remove cream mixture from heat. Very slowly add about 1/2 cup of the hot cream mixture to the egg yolk mixture, whisking constantly. Pour the egg yolk mixture into the sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon (if you run your finger through the mixture on the spoon, it should leave a clean trail). Do not let the custard boil. In a bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree and vanilla. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or up to 8 hours. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a medium bowl. Cool custard mixture over an ice bath. When cool, whisk the pumpkin, vanilla, and pumpkin beer into the custard. Cover with plastic wrap, placing the plastic directly on the custard's surface (this will prevent a skin from forming). Refrigerate until chilled-preferably overnight. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
