Thomas Creek Dirty Monk Belgian Porter
With a taste profile somewhere between a Belgian black ale and IPA, some might say that this porter is confused. However, they prefer to let this robust Belgian's smoky tones and slightly bitter finish speak for itself. Brewed with authentic Trappist yeast, this porter is sure to delight with its unique flavors. 6.5% ABV (draft only)

Shiner FM 966 Farmhouse Ale
A few centuries ago, during the cold winter months, farmhands in Europe brewed a "seasonal provision" Farmhouse Ale to be enjoyed once spring rolled around. In the farmlands of Shiner, TX that tradition lives on. Which is why Shiner's tribute to this style uses Golding, Sterling and Meridian hops for a sweet yet lightly spiced flavor. This incredibly refreshing farmhouse ale bears the name of the farm to market road just to the south of where the Shiner Brewery has proudly stood for over a 100 years. (bottle and draft)

Ballast Point Big Eye IPA
If you have fallen for the IPA style, Big Eye will not disappoint. You'll revel in Big Eye's bitter, hoppy flavor thanks to the American Columbus and Centennial hops used to flavor and dry hop our flagship IPA. The IPA style was born back in the 18th century to help beer survive the journey around Cape Hope to India. The brewers thank their hops every day that the English loved their bitters. 7% ABV (bottle and draft)
|
Ballast Point Sculpin IPA
People simply cannot get enough of Sculpin--a deceptively light bodied, yet very hoppy IPA that is brimming with bright apricot, peach, mango and lemon flavors which are imparted by the skillful use of a variety of hops. 7% ABV (bottle and draft)
|
Ballast Point Pale Ale
There is a reason why their Pale Ale is so popular--it is skillfully crafted in the style of the Kolsch beers of Cologne, Germany. They have chosen German hops for aroma, and rounded out the recipe with a blend of American and German malts. While it is very much like a Pilsner, this Pale Ale is fermented at ale temperatures giving it a subdued fruitiness. These flavors are a perfect complement to the crispness of the wheat and maltiness of the Munich malt. If you like a lighter brew but also like the complexity of craft beers, then this Pale Ale is for you! 4.6% ABV (bottle only)
|
Ballast Point Dorado Double IPA
On a quest to make delicious beers, our brewers have continually sought out new creative ways to accentuate the delightfully aromatic and flavorful qualities of hops. Hopheads rejoice! Dorado Double IPA takes hops to a new level. Mash hopping, kettle hopping and dry hopping, create an award winning beer that embodies San Diego's reputation for making world class IPAs. 10% ABV (bottle only)

Brewery Ommegang Biere D'Hougomont
Brewed with traditional French ale yeast, eight malts, French Strisselspalt hops, and aged on white oak and hard maple wooden staves. A traditional Biere De Garde style, this malty French-style farmhouse ale is brewed to be aged. The name honors Hougomont farmstead at the pivotal center of the Waterloo battlefield. 7.3% ABV (bottle and draft)
|
Magic Hat Pistil
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, pale and acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malty body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst. 4.5% ABV (bottle and draft)
|
Lazy Magnolia Gulf Porter
Brewed with select malts, oats and hops, they relied on the yeast to provide the spicy note and the rich character of the beer. It has warm notes of toffee, coffee and a little chocolate. This porter is a beautiful beer, sure to spark a lively discussion on the finer points of Southern living. 6% ABV (draft only)
|
Cascade Blueberry
This NW style sour ale blends wheat and blond ales that were oak aged in barrels for 6 months, then additionally aged for 4 months on fresh blueberries. Huge herbal notes of dense blueberries in the nose give way to hints of oak and a dusty floral note. Rich earthy notes of dark fruit on the palate lead to a tart finish that dries out to a base note of blueberry skins. 7.33% ABV (bottle only)

There's a giant, frothy wave heading directly at us this weekend, the likes of which we have never seen before. No need to panic, though, just grab your favorite mug and be prepared.
I'm referring to the Second Annual South Florida Beer Week, which kicks off Saturday with craft beer flowing from Jupiter to Miami. It foams over one week later with the 7th Annual Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival.
Seven years ago it would have been unthinkable to sustain seven days of celebrating craft beer across South Florida. But today, the Jupiter Craft Beer Festival can take credit as one of the events that helped it all come to a head.

Last time I was in Italy, I was a pimply collegiate backpacker subsisting on cheap pizza, even cheaper wine and the desperate desire to find a lass to lay me in a hostel. I failed miserably on that front, leading me to drink even more rotgut wine to drown my perceived sorrows. I left Venice and Florence with vile hangovers and an unhealthy dose of regret.
Was it the lack of love? Hardly. Celibacy was the unfortunate status quo on that trip. The bigger regret was that I never made it to Rome, a city I foolishly skipped because...I don't remember. I was drunk a lot during that European backpacking sojourn. I made many terrible, irrational decisions with my travel itinerary, most notably sleeping in an Amsterdam park after ingesting hallucinatory mushrooms. Let me tell you: Being awoken at dawn by drug-peddling bicycle riders is, quite possibly, the world's worst alarm clock.

Eighty pounds of porcine meat will blaze at a Boca Raton eatery come noon this Sunday, while patrons wait to get their share of Cuban-style roasted pork, likely kicking back a beer sent from Tampa.
The occasion will be the Sybarite Pig's caja china roast and Cigar City Brewing tap takeover, part of the second annual South Florida Beer Week. The festival, running Jan. 19 through 26, is a localized interpretation of American Craft Beer Week, observed in beer towns nationally in May. For the homegrown effort, beer geeks in the industry rally their connections for a week-long bacchanal bringing Florida beers to bars from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach counties.
