Thanks for Racing with TriColumbia at the 2013 ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival
Greetings!
Congratulations on a job well done, and thank you for racing with TriColumbia at the 10th Annual ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival. We welcomed athletes from 26 states and as far away as Israel!
You tackled a tough course under very challenging weather conditions. We hope you enjoyed the day, accomplished your goals, and made memories to last a lifetime. Official race results are available now. Photos are being processed by Brightroom Photo, and will be posted soon under the Results & Photos tab of the ChesapeakeMan webpage on the TriColumbia website.
Athletes have been sent an email invitation to claim their virtual ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival Finisher Badge. Be sure to claim yours, courtesy of TriColumbia. Badges can be proudly displayed on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and personal blogs to let everyone know of your accomplishment!
Ultra distance and Aquabike athletes have also been sent a personalized Endorphin Report to assist them in analyzing their race performance. In addition, we've sent out a post race survey. We are always looking to improve, and look forward to hearing from you. Our deepest thanks to you for joining us at the race. Your participation in our events not only allows our non-profit to make a difference for participating athletes by providing superior events and memories to last a lifetime, but also to give back to our community by supporting many local and regional charities which provide a full spectrum of support for citizens in need. We are proud to support the race beneficiary Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic, granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions in Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. TriColumbia donates to community organizations and charities both in direct contributions, as well as by providing fundraising team racing opportunities for charities. We hope to see you back at another TriColumbia event in 2014! Celebrate Life! Kari Ebeling, COO, USAT Certified Level 1 Race Director & The TriColumbia Team |

TriColumbia's Gift To ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival Ultra & Aquabike Distance Athletes
Ultra Distance and Aquabike finishers should have received a SPECIAL BONUS, their personalized Endorphin Report, which allows them to assess their performance and build upon their race-day goals and objectives. This report allows you to breakdown your race like a pro. It aggregates and analyzes your results along with the race results from the rest of the field in order to provide data, stats and charts that are otherwise unavailable. Your Endorphin Report provides you with valuable insight into your race performance, bringing your strengths and weaknesses into a new light, and helping you tailor your next training sessions to address areas in need of improvement.

Inspiration Abounds
The 2013 ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival was filled with inspiration. Indeed, each athlete competing overcame personal obstacles and challenges to toe the starting line.
Courtney Long of the ultra distance relay team "Adventures For the Cure" is a Type 1 diabetic. Courtney woke up on race morning to find her blood sugar extremely high spurring her to go to the hospital. After treatment including IV's, Courtney returned to the venue to take her place as the marathon runner for the team, finishing the run with a time of 5:25:41, and helping her team win 1st place in the female relay team division.
Congratulations to Courtney and her teammates, and to all participants whose courage and determination to overcome obstacles inspire us all!
