It has everything you need-official race information, maps, course videos, LIVE race day updates, virtual training on actual TriColumbia courses, and more! Download the app at the Apple Store.
Thanks to TriSpies for producing a great video of Iron Girl Half Marathon highlights. Official race results are available now on our website. Athlete photos by FinisherPix will be available for viewing later this week under "results & photos" on Athleta Iron Girl Columbia webpage. Athleta Iron Girl Half Marathon finishers have been sent an email invitation to claim their virtual Iron Girl Finisher Badge. Be sure to claim yours, courtesy of TriColumbia. Take The Next Step, Iron Girl!
Now that you've completed the Athleta Iron Girl Half Marathon, why not take the next step and join other women to compete at the 2nd Annual Iron Girl Rocky Gap Triathlon on September 8, 2013.
This pristine "girls' get away" venue provides the ideal backdrop for a triumphant race, with the swim taking place in beautiful Lake Habeeb, fed by Rocky Gap Run, which winds its way through an impressive mile-long gorge, displaying sheer cliffs, overlooks and a hemlock forest dense with rhododendron and mountain laurel.
We hope to see you back across the finish line in September!

Athleta Power to the She Award of Inspiration
Congratulations to Diana Toronto, winner of the 2013 Athleta Iron Girl Columbia Half Marathon Power to the She Award. Diana is a 2013 Iron Girl Half Marathon finisher, cancer survivor, Team Conquer member, and patient at the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center, our race beneficiary. She is a true inspiration to us all!
Here is Diana's inspirational story:
"On May 14, 2013 I will celebrate my anniversary.... Five years since the surgery to remove the malignant tumor in my right breast. Surgery was followed by chemotherapy, radiation, revision surgery, and ongoing oral medication. I had just turned 40 and was nursing my 3rd child. Thankfully I had the notion to perform a self-exam one night as I had not yet had a mammogram. Now, at the age of 45 and finally feeling fully recovered, I am happy, healthy, and moving forward with my life plans. One of the key factors in my healing process is exercise. I never stopped - you'd see me, bald, outside running, at the gym, at my favorite "boot camp" class, at the pool, and active in my kids' sports. I admit, there were some days I couldn't make it up off the couch, but I so desperately wanted to feel like myself again, and being active was a part of my life.
One year after diagnosis I participated in my first triathlon as the runner in a relay team. The next year I did the whole thing! The following year, I completed three triathlons. And this year I am attempting the "triple crown" - the Iron Girl Half Marathon, Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon, and Rocky Gap Triathlon.
I am a breast cancer survivor, but that is not what defines me. I used the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center services. I am a member of Team Conquer Cancer. I am strong, positive, and motivated. I make the most of every day and cherish every moment I have with my family. I celebrate life."
