The Rocky Gap Triathlon Is Coming With Deeply Discounted Early Bird Entry Fees
TriColumbia is thrilled to present the Rocky Gap Triathlon, continuing the race's rich 25-year race history, and becoming the 9th race in TriColumbia's 2013 calendar. The Rocky Gap Triathlon will be held Sunday, June 1, 2013, and will benefit the Cumberland YMCA.
Offering both an International Distance and a Sprint Distance race experience, The Rocky Gap Triathlon takes place in beautiful Rocky Gap State Park in Western Maryland, located at the eastern base of the Evitts Mountain, where Evitts Creek feeds Rocky Gap Run and empties into 243-acre, serene Lake Habeeb. Previously produced by the Cumberland YMCA, TriColumbia will enhance the event in this, its 26th year, ensuring athletes are offered the same stellar race experience and amenities for which TriColumbia is known.
"Between our 25 years of hosting a triathlon at Rocky Gap, and the professionalism, reputation and expertise of TriColumbia in triathlon event production, I'm confident an even greater number of athletes will enjoy a quality triathlon experience this year," stated Cumberland YMCA Executive Director, Don Enterline.
The Rocky Gap Triathlon will benefit the Cumberland YMCA in its effort to serve human needs in Allegany County and the Tri-State region. Through programs and services, the Cumberland YMCA promotes lifelong personal growth and the balanced development of spirit, mind and body.
"We are excited and honored to have the opportunity to partner with the Cumberland YMCA for this year's Rocky Gap Triathlon," said Kari Ebeling, Chief Operating Officer at TriColumbia. "The Cumberland YMCA is an incredible organization that shares our belief of promoting life-long health and fitness to the community, and we hope to assist their team in bringing the event's success to a new level, and continuing to promote the YMCA's mission for years to come."
