Have You Registered Yet For The Celebrating Heroes Triathlon?
Greetings!
The 2013 Celebrating Heroes Triathlon is open for registration. Have you reserved your spot? Join us in celebrating the birth of our nation's independence, and applauding the spirit of the American Hero. TriColumbia salutes the many heroes that make our nation great; from wounded warriors, rescue workers and first responders to everyday unsung heroes who go out of their way to selflessly lend a hand to provide hope and help to those in need. Sign up today for this great sprint distance race, and celebrate YOUR hero! This year's race will feature two BRAND NEW challenges to further showcase our heroes. - The Celebrating Heroes First Responders Challenge allows first responders to compete with other first responders. Top individual male and female as well as top relay teams (male, female & coed) will receive a donation of $500.00 to their non-profit organization of choice. 2nd and 3rd place male and female first responders will receive an award. Receiving an award in this category does not preclude athletes from receiving other age group and relay awards.
- The Celebrating Heroes Armed Forces Challenge allows armed forces personnel to compete with athletes in 5 armed forces branches of service, as well as within their own branch of service. Top overall individual male & female among Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard including all active duty, National Guard and Reservists will receive an award and a $500 donation to their non-profit of choice. Top male and female within each of the 5 branches will receive an award (with a minimum of two athletes in each category).
The TriColumbia 2013 race season offers an array of choices for all ability levels. In addition to the Celebrating Heroes Triathlon, races still open for registration include the Athleta Iron Girl Half Marathon & Coed 5K, the 30th running of the Columbia Triathlon, the TriColumbia Kidz Triathlon, the Iron Girl Rocky Gap Triathlon and the ChesapeakeMan Endurance Festival (featuring 7 events from the SwimFest and 10 mile run, to the Ultra Distance triathlon and Moonlight Marathon). So don't delay; register today for one or more of your favorite events, and help us achieve our mission of providing premier endurance events that strengthen individuals and our community. See you at the start line! Celebrate Life! Kari Ebeling, COO, USAT Certified Level 1 Race Director & The TriColumbia Team |
