As 2012 draws to a close, we have much to be grateful for. We treasure our relationship with you, and thank you for the opportunity to serve you and our community by providing endurance events that allow you to achieve life long health and fitness, and reach your goals, while providing valuable support to so many in need.
Thanks to you, in 2012 alone, TriColumbia generated hundreds of thousands of dollars of much needed financial support for charities through both direct contributions as well as by providing fundraising opportunities for charity teams.
The end of 2012 marks a new beginning for Robert "Vigo" Vigorito, our Founder, CEO, and Race Director, who will retire after three decades with our organization.
"My retirement is bittersweet because TriColumbia has been such a wonderful and profound part of my life along with Neuroscience", said Vigo. "I am extremely proud of what we have built, and now I look forward to having the opportunity to spend more time with family and to pursue and continue other related passions, including USAT Governance and working with challenged triathletes and special charitable causes, among them the Blazeman Foundation, the cancer survivor community, and children directly - to help them and all to achieve their goals and dreams through a healthy lifestyle. "
Vigo has been an icon and driving force in the multisport world. We thank him for his incredible contributions, and wish him and his wife, Sharon, all the very best. We know he will continue to inspire and make a difference in the lives of all those he touches, and we are committed to continuing his good work and vision in the years ahead.
Happy Holidays from your friends at TriColumbia!
