A Time to be Thankful
This Thanksgiving season, we have many people to thank for generously giving of their time and resources to help us meet the needs of our children in our Bright Visions Early Childhood Center and our outreach programs.
Microsoft
Kelly Vuong, Microsoft Community Relations Specialist, had an unforgettable experience when she toured the Center. Inspired by the determination of one little boy to be independent (click here to read Kelly's story), she rallied a team of volunteers to create a unique dining experience with the goal to raise awareness of the challenges facing individuals with visual impairments and to raise funds for adaptive technology. Sponsored by Microsoft, the event raised more than $16,000 and gave all the guests a memorable experience.
Can you tell from Hessam Toudiee and Hasiba Barati's smiles that they enjoyed the evening?

QBE First
In March, Hang Mac of QBE led employee volunteers in a lunch fundraiser to benefit the Center, raising more than $500. Hang was so inspired, she championed efforts to get additional funding that resulted in securing a $10,000 QBE grant to benefit our children.
