Tradition at Blind Children's Learning Center - Sensory Day

| For more than 20 years, Sensory Day has been an essential educational tool and a fantastically fun experience for our students. Given a guide card, each child traveled to sensory work stations and received scented stamps or tactile stickers for participating.
At the Smell Station, they smelled herbs and scented candles.

"Kids learn in a variety of ways through their senses. At our Center, we focus in on each of our children's senses and give them the opportunity to discover them through multiple methods," said Jenny Vincent, Teacher. |
Mitsubishi Volunteer Day
On Friday, June 14, our Bright Visions Early Childhood Center Campus was abuzz with employee volunteers from Mitsubishi Electric. They joined our students for a "Bubble Wrap Dance Party" and then went to work making our campus beautiful.
Dedicated volunteers shoveled 20 yards of potting mix, donated by TVI, into planters throughout the entire campus. In addition to gardening and weeding.
We are also grateful for their generous $1,000 donation.
Thank you Mitsubishi volunteers for investing your time and talents to make our campus beautiful for our children and their families.

Message from our Walk Founder and Chair - Jaimie Haver
I am so honored and excited to be the Chair of the 10th Annual Destination-Independence Walk. Ten years ago, my personal goal was to increase awareness for the Center, raise funds for critical needs and celebrate the accomplishments of our children. With the support of thousands of people - together - we have met these goals.
Now my goal is to strive to do even more in celebration of our 10th Anniversary.
Sincerely,
|
