National Volunteer Month
Volunteers are essential and treasured at Blind Children's Learning Center. They touch every aspect of our Center: board leadership, fundraising, marketing and all of our programs. Our volunteers are individuals from companies, community service groups, students and families all with the common goal - to give all children with visual impairments the opportunity to succeed in a sighted world. In recent months Alcoa Fastening Systems, Alcon, Assisteens, AT&T Pioneers, Cal State Fullerton, Chapman University, Credit Suisse, Fairview Foster Grandparents, Foothill High School, Junior League of Orange County, National Charity League, and UCI gave of their most valuable asset - their time - to volunteer at our Center. | Irish Dancers volunteered to perform at the children's Music Time. |
Executive Director Kathy Buehler recognized Wayne Heidle for his volunteer work creating the Southern California College of Optometry Adaptive Technology and Training Center at Blind Children's Learning Center.
 |
Can you tell? Our children love our volunteers!
