How does your company help others in the community?

SD: The Southwest District's mission is to partner with charities in order to promote awareness, enrich the lives of others, and strengthen the local communities that we build in.

The Southwest District partnered with Habitat for Humanity, Central Arizona Chapter, the City of Glendale, and First American Title to construct a new home in 2013. Kiewit worked with the ASU Student Chapter of AGC to supplement our workforce on two days of the build. This project really gave our employees the chance to give back to a community that has given us so much.

In addition to the Habitat for Humanity work, and with the help of our generous sponsors, partners and employees, we have raised over $197,000 for non-profit organizations in the last three years through our annual charity golf tournament.

What message would you say to folks to be successful in this industry?

SD: At Kiewit, every client we work with and every project we work on is integrally important to us. With a strong local presence and access to a vast network of resources, we can quickly mobilize high-performing teams and provide the best solutions and value for the stakeholders. From the smallest jobs to multi-billion dollar projects, our resources and experience ensure clients receive safe, high-quality, and on time projects with the hands-on service they've come to expect.
