The Transportation and Trade Corridor Alliance Has Completed Its Work
The completed Transportation and Trade Corridor Alliance Roadmap is a comprehensive document designed to support moving Arizona toward a more globally competitive second century, focused on high-value trade and investment, market connectivity, and alignment of policy and actions. The Roadmap was constructed by a group of experts from the public and private sectors, brought together by Governor Jan Brewer to develop a plan to position Arizona in a fast-growing global marketplace. AZAGC Leads the Way to Support TTCA's Recommendations

This AZAGC Briefing Paper outlines the association's position on acquiring funding for the TTCA's Key Commerce Corridor's Plan. We are asking the business community and ADOT to partner with us to promote the report's findings, investigate revenue options and seek a final resolution to acquire the necessary funding for the plan.

Hardhats for Highways - Join the Coalition

AZAGC is a proud supporter of HardHats for Highways. Tens of thousands of construction workers rely on federal transportation funding to keep working. But unless Congress acts, the Highway Trust Fund will go broke as early as this summer, forcing states to cut highway bid lettings, putting thousands of construction jobs at risk. For more information on the coalition click here.

AZAGC Wins Second Maricopa Association of Governments Award
AZAGC, along with other industry and agency stakeholders, received the Public Private Partnership Desert Peak award for the "Don't Let Our Air Go Up in Smoke" Winter No Burn Campaign (2013-2014). This award is presented to the group or project that has demonstrated a commitment to regionalism through a public-private-partnership.

AZAGC Senior Vice President Amanda McGennis was instrumental in organizing AZAGC members and other stakeholders to sponsor electronic billboards across the valley to increase awareness of no woodburning fires on potentially high pollution days for PM 2.5. Amanda also worked with the Arizona Department of Transportation to also use their electronic message boards to remind the travelling public not to burn. As a result, this collaborative effort was a success: there were no air quality violations for PM 2.5, and the region stayed in attainment with national health-based air quality standards.
