The $5. ChallengeCollin Goins won Coach K's $5 challenge in PE class last Thursday. He scored the volleyball through the basketball basket hanging at the top of the ceiling. This takes extreme skill.
Congrats Collin!

Welcome Back Alumni
Our annual Homecoming game is Friday, September 11. Each year we welcome back our alumni and have a tent with food for them where they can hang out, fellowship with teachers and old friends, and eat! This has become a fun tradition for them and many look forward to returning year after year.
Each year we ask for donations of food or money to help feed them! If you are able to help in any of these ways, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you so very much - our alumni are always so grateful that the parents provide this for them.
Needs -
*2 trays of Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets
*2 trays of Chick-fil-a chicken strips (or Publix chicken strips)
*2-3 platters/plates of pinwheel sandwiches
*2-3 fruit trays
*2-3 veggie trays
*4-5 trays/plates of brownies, cookies
*3-4 cases of bottled water
Also, any monetary donations are appreciated so I can purchase napkins, plates, utensils. If you are able to bring any food items, I need them brought to the school that Friday between 6:00-7:30 pm.
THANK YOU

CALLING ALL CARS!
Plans for the homecoming parade are in full swing and we need your participation to continue the great tradition started last year!
If you would like to participate and drive a car, truck or float in the parade, we would love to have you! Classic cars, sports cars, trucks or other vehicles are all welcome. You are invited to represent your student's grade or just to be there.
WE ARE ALSO IN NEED OF 4 CONVERTIBLES to transport our homecoming court in the parade only.
Thanks in advance for all your support in making homecoming an exciting event.
Please email me at [email protected] if you would like to participate or if you have a convertible you would be willing to drive for the homecoming court. |

Are You Ready?
Our annual "All School Retreat" is five weeks away. We take this retreat each year with a goal of creating community within DCS as well as setting up our year with a time of worship and spiritual growth. For many students this is one of their fondest memories here at DCS.
| Parent Volunteers & Helpers
As parents, we have the awesome opportunity to server our students during the retreat! We have many slots for volunteers - moms and dads are welcome! We serve food, help the Sharptop kitchen staff, and staff the Snack Bar! We sleep in a "parent cabin" - not with the kids - and it is a great way to get to know other parents.
As volunteers, we would need you to commit from Wednesday, Sep 30 at 2 pm (you will drive yourself or carpool up to SharpTop Cove) until Friday at noon. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate volunteers that can't commit to the entire time.

The school rewards programs at Dominion are alive and well. Please continue to send in your pink box tops, labels for education, and coke rewards.
