Weekend Warrior!

Congratulations to Dorien Jenkins who over the past weekend, competed in both the Atlanta Nike Combine and the Nike Football Regional Opening. The combine had over 2000 competitors making it the largest combine in Nike history in the country.

 

Dorien finished 24th over all with a 91.95 score.

 

Sunday, Dorien attended the Atlanta Nike Opening. This was an event that was by invite only.  Almost 400 of the Southeast's top players were in attendance to compete in a full day of testing and competition.  

 

Dorien finished 57 out of the almost 400 competitors.

Credit Recovery & Advancement Courses

Credit recovery and advancement students will be required to attend four days per week in a classroom setting with their instructor. Credit will only be awarded when students have satisfied all academic and attendance requirements set forth by the summer program.

Athlete of the Week  3/30 - 4/2

Tennis:
Laura Werner has had to step it up for this year playing tennis.  As an 8th grader she is playing as first singles for the varsity team.  Her last match she pulled out 3 games.  Go Laura!




Track & Field:
Middle School Boys

TJ Iorillo - Placed 1st in the Shot Put, and 2nd in the Discus.  TJ is undefeated in the shot this season thus far.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Middle School Girls 

Renee Dockins - Continues her dominance in the 100 meter hurdles bringing home the Gold once again.  Renee also won a silver medal in the 200 meter hurdles, and a bronze medal in the triple jump.

 

 




Varsity Boys

AJ Wilson & Cody LaVigne combined for 35 points as gave notice to all competitors they are a tandem to be recon with.  Placing among the top in the hurdles & triple jump.

   

 

 

 

Varsity Girls 

Grace Schumacher brought home the gold in both the triple jump and 200 meters. Grace set a personal best in the 200 meters by over one second.

 






Varsity Girls Soccer:

Emma Lewallen.  Emma has been a strong center midfielder for the varsity team this year.  She has 2 assists on the season and makes excellent passes to help the forwards be successful.  She wins a lot of 50/50 balls and controls the play in the middle of the field.

"Thank you for participating in our rewards programs so far this year.  To date we have raised over $500.00 in money and supplies for our school.  Keep them coming!" The school rewards programs at Dominion are alive and well.  Please continue to send in your pink box tops, labels for education, and coke rewards. In addition to our box top/coke/labels for education programs, our school has Publix Partner cards ready to be picked up at the front office.
