The Visual Arts Department is beginning to work on painting and re-purposing items for the Holiday House auction. Please donate furniture, old flatware, kitchen canisters and old instruments. We would like your donations as soon as possible so HS art students, Mrs. Rudd and Mrs. Huff can start to create some up-cycled masterpieces!

We are excited to announce that this year we are planning a large parade starting from Burnt Hickory Baptist Church at 5:30 on October 17th proceeding down Old Mt. Road to the school!

We want this to be a fun and festive time for our school as we cheer on our Knights as they Crush the Crusaders of Griffin Christian School!

WE WANT YOU TO PARTICIPATE!!!!!

Please register your car or truck with Mrs. Hendricks at [email protected] by Oct.10th.
There is no registration fee to participate.  You are welcome to decorate any vehicle.  Just have fun and decorate it and ride in the parade.  If you would like you may throw candy once we get to the Dominion campus.

Join in the fun and make sure you register as soon as possible.

Let's support our KNIGHTS!

Each year at our Homecoming game, we welcome back our alumni.  It is a fun night for them to visit with friends and former teachers.  One of our traditions is to have an "Alumni Tent" where they meet and hang out and EAT.  Our parents are so gracious to provide food for them - and every year, the students are excited to eat all the great food!!!

For this year, we are asking for some specific foods and if you are able to provide any of these,

we would be very grateful.

Please note -

  • The food should be brought about 6 - 6:30 pm Friday night, October 17
  • There is no way to keep things cool or to heat food up
  • Mrs. Price will accept food donations either at the gate or near the cabin

Athletes of the Week   10/13-10/17

VJ Volleyball

Sara Moore and Sarah Beveridge (picture not available).  Sara Moore led her team to a 12 point lead in the game against Holy Spirit last week with her great serves.  She had 3 aces and no service errors.  Sarah Beveridge had a dominating performance in the game against Weber, helping her team achieve a come from behind victory.  She had 2 aces and 9 kills.

Varsity Volleyball

Anna Lineberry.  Anna has been a great team player in the past few weeks.  She has played every position but one on the court with a joyful attitude.  Against Loganville Anna had 1 ace, 2 kills, and 13 digs.  Against Weber Anna had 2 aces, 5 kills, and 20 digs.

Varsity Cross Country

Justin Jewell.  Justin is one of the hardest working athletes I've seen. He is determined and never settles. He constantly strives to improve. Justin always encourages his teammates and goes the extra mile.

Varsity Football

Dorien Jenkins & Levi Lewallen.  Dorien had 275 all-purpose yards, 1TD, 1 Int, Levi had 6 tackles, 2 for loss, and 1 SAC, 4 carries 30 yards rushing, as well as great blocking.  Despite losing a tough game to Trinity Christian 21 to 14.

Middle School Football

The "Dynamic Dual" of Jack Flynn & Kollin Washington accounted for 90% of the offense and all of the 26 points scored in their last game of the regular season against Division Leaders Georgia Force!  Kollin has become the focus of the Jr. Knights running game, and Jack's primary receiver.  Jack Flynn added to his already staggering TD total, bringing the count to 14 in six games.  Jack also leads the Jr. Knights in rushing.  The Jr. Knights will play Kings Academy at Kell high School this Thursday.  The winner will advance to the Championship game next Saturday.  Congratulations!
