See You At the Pole & Day of Prayer

See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.

See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.

Parents...Dominion will be open all day, September 24, for DCS parents to come to the school and spend some time in prayer for the school, students, faculty and staff.

Please check in at the main office. There will be a room will be set aside only for prayer the entire school day. There will be prayer guides in the room, a journal for you to contribute to if you like. You can pray alone, or have a prayer partner with you. If you would like to prayer walk the campus or halls while the students are in their classes, feel free to do so.

Art News:
The Visual Arts Dept. is looking for furniture and instruments (used or not working is fine) that we can paint creatively. We would like your donations as soon as possible so students can paint them to sell at the silent auction during Holiday House.
Donations wanted...

The PE department is looking for badminton rackets and solid wood paddle-ball rackets that you may have lying around the house that you don't want or need anymore.  If you have any you would like to donate, please send in to the school to Tricia Price.
DCS All-school Retreat

October 1-3, 2014 @ SharpTop Cove, Jasper, GA

We take this retreat each year with a goal of creating community within DCS as well as setting up our year with a time of worship and spiritual growth. For many students this is one of their fondest memories here at DCS. We leave the text books, homework, and city limit signs behind and focus on strengthening, building and creating relationships that often last for life.
