King University Admissions Officer to visit DCS |
College Advisement News
On September 17th Michael Webb, Admissions Officer for King University in Bristol TN, will be on the Dominion Campus. In a recent email, Michael states the following: "I have been speaking with our Associate Vice President of Undergraduate Admissions, Greg King. We know the caliber of the students at Dominion and believe that they have what it takes to be great at King University." Thus, for any senior that completes the (fee waived) paper application, provides transcripts and test scores, and meets the admissions requirements, King University will give automatic acceptance with academic scholarships. This is a wonderful opportunity for all seniors. If you are interested, please RSVP to Mrs. Peeples ( [email protected]). For more information about King College go to: www.king.edu |

Parent Volunteers & Helpers...
The Dominion all-school retreat on Oct 2-4 is approaching quickly. As parents, we have the awesome opportunity to server our students during the retreat! I can honestly say that it has been the most fun thing I have done at Dominion for the last 6 years! We have 10 spots left for volunteers - moms and dads are welcome! We serve food, help the Sharptop kitchen staff, and staff the Snack Bar! We sleep in a "parent cabin" - not with the kids - and it is a great way to get to know other parents. As volunteers, we would need you to commit from Wednesday, Oct 2 at 2pm (you will drive yourself or carpool if you wish needing to be at Sharptop by 2) until Friday at noon. Unfortunately, we can't usually accommodate volunteers that can't commit to the entire time. This will be staffed by the first people that reply back to Pat Hendricks ([email protected])! Background checks are necessary and we will send you a form that allows us to complete one. Looking forward to working with many of you at Sharptop!
