A new Data Science and Predictive Analytics major will be available in spring 2016, making UWRF the only school in the UW System, one of only a couple schools in the Twin Cities area and only a handful of universities nationwide, to offer this leading-edge course of study to undergraduate students. Seven best and brightest undergraduates were honored recently with the 2015 Chancellor's Award For Students. The award recognizes student leadership, service and commitment. Read more. 
The UW-River Falls Foundation hosted its first ever online giving day May 1, raising $18,585 in just 12 hours. The event, called the Falcon 5K, had an initial goal of raising $5,000 based on results at similar universities. Read more. 

Three individuals who influenced and paved the way forward for thousands of UWRF students have been named to the 2015 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Hall of Fame. New inductees from UWRF are Byron James, Emogene Nelson, and Judy Wilson.
