Courtyard Dedication closes Centennial Year

On Wednesday, August 26, our Centennial year concluded with the long-awaited Courtyard Dedication...remember those May snowstorms? Temps were in the 90's but campus and community members dined on cool Falcon Foods ice cream while looking over the materials destined for our time capsule... including photos, Centennial memorabilia, UWRF paraphernalia, items found in a typical student's backpack, letters from current deans and department chairs to their counterparts in 2112, and more.

Farm Master Plan - An Update
|
The College has been working diligently over the summer on the Master Plan. A planner from Vierbicher Associates, and our own campus planner, have led our steering committee of faculty and staff through several workshops to help us better define our needs now and into the future. Students, industry representatives, campus and local community members were also invited to participate at various stages in the process. We have come to the point where two concept plans have been developed for each farm - the Campus Farm and the Mann Valley Farm. One concept plan incorporates updates and improvements to the farms as they exist, the other offers some bold ideas for change. The best of each concept plan will be merged to create the final Master Plan for each Farm.
