Greetings!
Ever wonder how to shift the cycle of stimulants, busy mind, sleepless nights and overall exhaustion? Ever wonder how to stop a temple headache without meds?
With Medical Qigong we seek to address the causative factors which give rise to symptoms and weaken the meridian/organ energy systems. When our energy is low, generally our kidney circuit is deficient and adrenal glands are overworked. Getting a good night's sleep is supported by the fullness of energy within the kidney circuit and adrenal glands. A Medical Qigong practitioner will often address this by charging up the kidney circuit, giving some energy exercises to do at home, and perhaps an herbal tonic.
Likewise when an organ circuit is overloaded with stagnant energy, it can create pressure in other parts of the meridian pathway. For example the liver circuit which travels from the feet to the front torso at the base of the ribs, has an internal pathway that travels up to the eyes and the center of the head. It is also preceded by the Gall Bladder meridian, that wraps around the temples and travels back down to the feet. When the liver is overloaded with stagnant energy and toxic metabolites it can create pressure in the Gall Bladder Meridian (around the temples) or Liver internal pathway ( in the eyes and center of the head). A medical Qigong practitioner can address this by drawing this excess toxic qi out of the meridian circuit and releasing the pressure. The shifts and changes that are occurring on our planet at this time- the chemicals and heavy metals in our water, food and air, artificial energy saturation of our living and work spaces, Solar Flare activity, extremely low frequency (ELF) radio waves heating our ionosphere- all make maintaining a healthy physical body a bit of a challenge. Our bodies are having to deal with an intense amount of unseen influences that are heating and depleting to our physical and subtle bodies. Having the tools and understanding to address each of these conditions is where Medical Qigong shines. Medical Qigong goes to the root of a body issue and attempts to address the causative factors. This month (Tuesday mornings in March) and next (second weekend in April) we are offering another round of Medical Qigong Essentials in preparation for our year long Medical Qigong Practitioner Program. All are welcome to participate- lay people and bodyworkers alike. Participants will learn time honored processes for tonifying their organs, cultivating qi in their vital centers and enhancing the qi flow in another.. I invite you to read below comments from Medical Qigong recipients and practitioners, and consider joining us for a free intro, essentials class or a year long program. MYOFASCIAL RELEASE & ORTHOPEDIC MASSAGE with Sean Riehl
"I took Sean's 100 hour deep tissue course back in 1998 because it was a required class, not realizing how important it would be to the foundation of my practice. Today, deep tissue is one of the main components of my practice, and orthopedic massage work is needed by most of my clients. Because Sean is so passionate as a teacher, I was able to learn the detailed anatomy, precision with techniques, and carry on that same passion to my clients."
