Helpful Tips from Successful Students!

"Meeting the employers was a valuable aspect of the business skills course.  I was struggling with getting clients and pricing in my massage business. After the course I began working for several of the employers on the business panel, Now, I'm doing what I love, helping others toward pain free and enjoyable living.

If I could give advice to current students I would recommend that they get started working right away after school so they can develop their skills. I found out that there is a difference between classroom confidence and real world confidence. My skills have greatly improved since I started working. School gave me a great foundation for massage and the experience I have acquired practicing has been incredibly valuable. I am currently working two days per week at massage Envy and the rest of the time at the Deep Tissue Massage Center. The consistency in work is nice and I'm very excited about what I do."
-Brandon  Cope 550 hr grad, Employee for Deep Tissue Massage Center, and Massage Envy, made contact while attending Business Skills

"I recommend the business course to all BTI students, whether they've just completed the 200-hour program or have been in practice for several years. The class allowed me to clarify my purpose and remind me that, for the most part, all I need to do is be myself and embrace what I most love about doing massage. The use of flower essences helped shift my energy so that from the very first day of class, more new and returning clients started calling than ever before. The basic, day-to-day business skills discussed in class were very useful as well."

-Nicky LaFleur, 550 grad, in private practice

"I got four new clients this past week from the marketing tips. The most important thing I learned is to just put out intention, do the work - never say no to work when starting to be successful."
-Cynthia Shipman, 250 grad in private practice
