 Greetings!

,

Acupressure is an ancient Chinese healing method that uses varied amounts of applied pressure to specific points on the body, and can easily blend with any style of massage.

These points fall along the pathways of qi energy flow, called meridians which relate to the body's organs. By stimulating these points the body's self-curative abilities are awakened and given a boost.

Acu-points are often located at key crossways of the autonomic nervous system, making this form of touch therapy an excellent tool for the relief of pain
.

In this class we will cover:yin yang

  • Basic TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) principles and the background of acupressure
  • Acupressure techniques, styles and uses
  • 14 meridians and their relationship to the body's organs and the chakra system.
  • 20 key potent points that are most effective for the relief of common ailments.
  • An acupressure, oil massage blend

By stimulating key master acu-points and moving Qi through the body's meridians, this massage restores balance and assists in returning the body-mind to its innate state of harmony and wellness.

It can be practiced Swedish style with oil, or fully clothed without. Acupressure feels good to receive and can easily be used for self-care. Some benefits include; reduced anxiety, lower blood pressure, release of stress, strengthened immune system, relief from muscular tension, pain, restored emotional balance and more.
