Introducing DEIRDRE MURPHY!
Spontaneous Order, Oil on Canvas, 60" X 40"
Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and that means it's time for the mid-season premiere of #TWD! Just when a girl thinks it can't get any better with Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus, enter Jeffrey Dean Mogan. Speaking of fantastic television series, the Netflix drama Bloodline selected artwork by Carolyn Reed Barritt, Joshua Hogan, Deirdre Murphy, and Kuzana Ogg for a Miami set that will appear in Season 2, coming this fall!

We're honored to welcome artist Deirdre Murphy to our gallery! The recipient of numerous awards and grants, most notably the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts Fellowship and a Leeway Foundation Award, Murphy's artwork has been published in New American Paintings and FreshPaint Magazine. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Vermont Studio Center, and Pouch Cove. This spring, in celebration of 100 Years of migratory bird conservation, Murphy will begin a residency at Powdermill Nature Reserve exploring the complex relationships, such as murmuration patterns found in flocks of starlings, to visually represent what subtle patterns changes can tell us about our relationship to nature and each other.

Congratulations to artist Kuzana Ogg, now represented by Atlanta's Alan Avery Art Contemporary! She's in good company exhibiting alongside Robert Rauschenberg, Donald Sultan, Roy Lichtenstein, and Louise Nevelson.

Hey friends in Philly, view new artwork by Seth Clark in Paradigm Gallery + Studio's upcoming exhibit "Waning Worlds", a group show opening February 26th! Paradigm Gallery + Studio also selected Seth Clark's artwork for exhibition at Art on Paper New York, returning to Manhattan's Lower East Side this March.

UP NEXT (main gallery) : 2016 Artist of the Year, KAL MANSUR

2016 ARTIST OF THE YEAR, KAL MANSUR
Last year, artist Kal Mansur was the recipient of our "Art Inter/National Best of Show" award for his wall sculpture, Tan Prelude 2. A visual artist specializing in acrylic glass construction, Mansur developed a process of cutting, gluing, sanding, and buffing colored acrylic glass to alter its levels of translucency and reflectiveness. The translucent surface both conceals and reveals space behind the picture plane, an oscillation between two and three dimensions!

Mansur received his BFA from the University of Texas. This spring his artwork will be exhibited at the Palm Springs Fine Art Fair, the Architectural Digest Design Show, Art Breda (Netherlands) and the Affordable Art Fair (Belgium, London, New York). He is represented by Galerie Nummer 40 in the Netherlands and George Billis Gallery in Los Angeles. It is with great pleasure that we present our 2016 Artist of the Year, Kal Mansur, and his debut solo exhibition in Pittsburgh, New Valkyries, which will be on exhibit from March 15th through April 22nd!
