Art Inter/National :

Inspired by the Carnegie International, BoxHeart's Art Inter/Exhibition began in 2002 by exploring how environment impacts the artistic process and influences what each artist creates. Now in its 14th year, the tradition of this exhibition continues to expand on this concept by exploring the experience of belonging to place.

The 14th Annual Art Inter/National Exhibition features 20 artists and 24 works of art in a variety of media! From Colombia to Iran, Malaysia to Pakistan, Canada and across the United States, preview the selected artists and artwork in the exhibit which will run from January 13th through March 13th, 2015!

UP! coming :

2015 is shaping up to be quite the year! We are looking forward to presenting new works by Kuzana Ogg, Erin Treacy, and Brenda Stumpf, three women artists that ROCK!

Kuzana's new painting in progress!
KUZANA OGG

After exhibitions at the Westmoreland Museum of Art and the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art in 2014, painter Kuzana Ogg is now preparing for her exhibition Rev Zero at the Bakersfield Museum of Art in January. Don't miss her exhibition, California Crude, with us this SPRING. Kuzana continues her exploration into the symbols depicted in piping and instrumentation diagrams from the oil industry using layers of color and texture.

Erin's studio at the
Soaring Gardens Residency!
ERIN TREACY

Artist Erin Treacy returned from The Lerman Trust's Soaring Gardens Residency with a new series of works exploring the intersection of movement and time trough the lenses of science and experience. We look forward to her exhibit this SUMMER, Dismantled & Reclaimed, which will not only present new paintings, but also Erin's new assemblages exploring the interaction between stimulus and sensation and how they can lead to unexpected relationships in memories and ideas.

Brenda at work!
BRENDA STUMPF

Known for her abstract, intricate, and complex use of nontraditional materials, Brenda Stumpf's artwork is pervaded with mythic and historic figures, sacred texts, and alchemy. After exhibitions at the Littleton Museum in Colorado and the Santa Fe Community Convention Center in New Mexico, Brenda was featured on Colorado's Best, Channel 2 News, for taking everyday objects and turning them into art. Don't miss her exhibition with us this FALL as she presents new works steeped with both intensely personal and archetypal associations.
