It was a beautiful and busy summer for our gallery and our artists!

Irina Koukhanova, BoxHeart's 2014 Artist of the Year, was selected to exhibit at the Snite Museum of Art and the Sound Bend Museum of Art. Seth Clark was selected to exhibit in the 2014 Pittsburgh Biennial and Crista Pisano received the 2014 Adirondack Plein Air Festival Award. Erin Treacy was one of four artists awarded the Soaring Garden Residency through the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust and Kuzana Ogg, BoxHeart's 2013 Artist of the Year, is getting ready for upcoming exhibitions at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art and the Bakersfield Museum of Art.

ART REVIEW: 'JAY KNAPP: 10 YEARS' at BoxHeart Gallery 

 

 

"Featuring turned-wood sculptures, paintings and digitally processed photographs, Knapp's art blends the classical beauty of decorative arts and geometric perfection with an acute social awareness and a carefully cultivated sense of chaos. The exhibit follows Knapp's recent gallery openings in his hometown, as well as at the Westmoreland Museum of Art." 10 Years is on display at BoxHeart Gallery until October 3rd.

Gallery represented artist Kuzana Ogg was selected for solo exhibitions at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA) and at the Bakersfield Museum of Art (BMOA). Her Kickstarter campaign, Extraction: SLOMA/BMOA, requests support for the professional packing and shipping of her paintings to and from each exhibition. 12 days remaining!

Artist Dee Briggs has begun Phase II of her House of Gold Project. Her Kickstarter campaign, The House of Gold: A Gentle Demolition requests support to assist her with a sustainable demolition, greatly reducing materials that would go in the landfill. 14 days remaining!

Gallery represented artists Daria Sandburg and Seth Clark had artwork selected for the set of the upcoming feature film The Last Witch Hunter. Cameras are officially rolling on director Breck Eisner's flick which stars Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood, and Michael Caine. The Last Witch Hunter follows an immortal witch hunter (Diesel), who battles against an uprising of witches in modern day New York.

Gallery represented artists TK Mundok and Kuzana Ogg had artwork selected for the set of the upcoming feature film Southpaw and Joshua Hogan and Kuzana Ogg had artwork selected for the set of the upcoming feature film Me & Earl & the Dying Girl.

BoxHeart Gallery was honored to be selected as an exhibitor at the 2014 echo Art Fair, which took place September 5-7! Launched in Buffalo New York in 2011, the echo Art Fair has evolved into one of the region's most notable fine art events. BoxHeart exhibited the work of:

- Kyle Ethan Fischer, found object + mixed media sculpture
- Joshua Hogan, abstract painting
- Jay Knapp, turned & carved wood sculpture

BoxHeart blossoms into an artist's garden of color this fall, as we begin our Blooming with Holiday Spirit celebration of art! Blooming with Holiday Spirit features an eclectic display of our diverse gallery represented artists, just in time for holiday gift-giving.

Discover the wild imagination of artist Sherry Rusinack this October, as she transforms BoxHeart's gallery windows into a Halloween installation complete with her visionary masks, skeletons, and more! Step through our doors and you'll find artist Ron Witkowsky's 3D cut paper works, Nanci LaBret Einstein's rhythmic, recycled sculptures, Keith Garubba's "demystification of the drip" through the work of Dr. Armbruster Laboratories, and Arabella Proffer's biomorphic garden party paintings!!

biggest family event, the 46th Annual Night-time Halloween Parade! BoxHeart  

is the perfect vantage point for all the live music, floats, and costumes that are
