WHEN MINUTES MATTER, SECONDS COUNT...

As an industry leader, it's important that we continually re-evaluate our products and stay abreast of technological advancements in fall protection, to ensure that we are offering only the latest and greatest equipment to our customers. Consequently, Gravitec's G4 Kit (Item #RFS-GR-G4-2) has been re-engineered and enhanced with state-of-the-art componentry -- resulting in the most effective and efficient universal rescue and evacuation system on the market today.

One of the most notable innovations of the G4 Kit is the "all-in-one" accessory bag, complete with daisy chain storage. During a rescue or evacuation, every moment is critical. With this in mind, we've developed an accessory bag that provides a manageable way to organize and carry the rescue components and accessories directly on the user's hip for quick accessibility and optimal ease of use, saving the user precious time during a life-saving rescue.

  • The G4 is a complete rescue and evacuation system contained in one transportable kit
  • Strong, durable, weatherproof and easy to store, the G4 bag comes with an over-the-shoulder sling strap in addition to padded shoulder straps for increased comfort
  • "All-in-one" accessory bag with carabiner conveniently attaches to your harness or belt system
  • 350 feet of 11 mm rescue rope  finished with factory-stitched terminations and stainless steel thimbles
  • Aluminum triple-locking carabiners for maximum safety, most featured with captive to ensure system security
  • A self-jamming pulley with a locking cam feature
  • Redirect capabilities
  • Detailed, full-color, waterproof laminated instruction flash cards and manual attach to the rescuer's harness for quick reference
  • G4 Kit customization and upgrades from earlier model G4 Kits can be easily accommodated (rope length, components and specialized application features)

GATESAFE: Your Guide to Compatible Connections

Y-Lanyard

Whether or not a connection is compatible can make the difference between life and serious injury or death should an incident occur and a user's fall arrest system is engaged. If you've done everything right, the connection should hold. However, if the mating of your connectors is flawed in some manner, the connection may fail or disengage. To prevent these types of catastrophic scenarios, we recommend engineering out a connection whenever possible.

If this is not an option in your work environment, Gravitec recommends the following methodology as a means of minimizing your risk.

Geometry: The gate of a connector should not be maneuverable so as to be pressured against the anchor.

Anchor location: Overhead anchor points are ideal, as it allows gravity to work with the setup and effectively mitigates the possibility of pressure against the gate.

Tension: Connectors are designed to be loaded on the long axis. Loading a connector on its short axis, also called "transverse loading," may lead to failure or disengagement.

Environment: Keep the connection clear of any structures, tools or other miscellaneous objects in the vicinity that could interfere with tasks or are in striking distance if a fall were to occur.

Single: Placing two connectors in one D-ring is not advised, as one may act against the other.

ANSI: Per ANSI Standard Z359.12-2009, all snaphooks and carabiners should feature a 3,600-lb gate, identified on the gate itself.

Flexible: Connections with flexible properties move with the user and promote proper alignment.

Examine: Training must include an examination of the connection. End users should be able to use their own judgment in determining the compatibility of any given connection.

A Green Country man fell four stories to his death while working on a historic hotel that's stood in Nowata since just after statehood.Jesus Martinez had been working on the roof of the old Savoy Hotel for much of the summer as part of a big renovation project.  Police say Martinez was familiar with the layout of the roof, so they're not sure why or how he fell.  The windows and doors are boarded shut, and as it looks now, the old Savoy Hotel leaves a lot to the imagination. It was built in the early 1900s, during Nowata's oil and gas boom. In the 40s, the Savoy served as a county hospital.
