Ojibwe Artist Residency with Dave and Sandy Peterson

Interact with the artists during their two day residency as they demonstrate traditional wiigwaasi makak, or birch bark basket making, but with a contemporary flare.
 










Carriage Driving Days

Experience a competition that celebrates the carriage-driving style of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
This encompasses horsemanship, driving acumen, care and preservation of carriage and harness, and the intangible qualities of good sportsmanship.
History Sandwiched In: The Battle for Prairie du Chien

Listen as historian Mary Antoine, author of "The War of 1812 in Wisconsin: The Battle for Prairie du Chien," details the strategic story of a years-long fight for control of the Northern Mississippi and the "western country." 
The Phenology of Mammals, Birds, and Other Creatures of the North Country

Hear John Bates, author of seven books on the natural history of the Northwoods, speak on phenology. He will make connections to the timing of physical events and offer insights into how the natural world works.

Beer Barons of Geneva Lake: Cruise and Beer Tasting

Join us in raising a pint together during an afternoon cruise of Geneva Lake and  learn about the history of the six beer barons that vacationed and lived along its shores.
Closing Weekend
