Ruth DeYoung Kohler (yes, of The Kohler Company family) was instrumental in the restoration of Wade House in Greenbush.
The century-old stagecoach inn and adjoining buildings were purchased by the Kohler Foundation, Inc. in 1950, eventually falling under the stewardship of WHS. Ruth DeYoung Kohler II, presents the key to Wade House to Dr. William McKern of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
