March 2016 ChoraLink
Spring is here, and with it come the floods of spring concerts. The next few months are full ones for many of us. But rather than getting overwhelmed by the stress of this season, I do my best to see this especially busy time as a reminder of how privileged we are to do what we do. As each of you bring your gifts to waiting audiences across the Eastern Division (and beyond), remember how important the process of rehearsal and discovery can be for you and your singers alike. May we be present in the experience of the journey as much as the ultimate concert, and focus on the people singing with us as deeply as we study the score in front of us.
And thank you to all who took our Conference Survey. Your valuable feedback will help us continue to improve our work on your behalf, and best meet the needs of all members.
As always, I'm listening, and I'm here to serve.

Her sphere of influence touched public school and choral communities on both coasts. For those of us fortunate enough to be in her orbit there is a tremendous sense of loss, but also a deep sense of gratitude for a life well lived through her energetic, dedicated and passionate music-making.
