ACDA Boston Conference Presenters
November 2015 ChoraLink
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you're looking forward to a few days of retreat and reflection, turning your focus to the many things we each have to be grateful for.

One of the things I'm deeply thankful for is ACDA's continued work on behalf of each of it's members. I'm truly grateful for the thoughtful and selfless energy contributed by so many of you. I'm inspired by your ideas and energy. And I'm excited to see so many of you in Boston in a few short months!

To get you in a thankful mood, this month's blog offerings give you even more in-depth previews of the conference choirs and interest sessions. And to hear even more, make sure you've liked our Facebook Page so that you'll keep up-to-date on our bi-weekly "Conference choirs spotlights" and other announcements.

My best to each of you for a relaxing holiday. As always, I'm listening, and I'm here to serve.

And there it is - the reason I go to ACDA conferences. I love each rehearsal and each performance in my life. I quite simply love what I do. And the day-to-day work is wonderful. BUT, to feel completely fulfilled, to grow as an artist, and to bring something new to my work I need the Sun. And not to overstate things, ACDA conferences have illuminated my work immensely over the years... Read the rest at the ACDA East Blog

Vital Force: Using T'ai Chi Chih and Movement Techniques to Teach Conducting

It's February 11 and you're in Boston for a very exciting ACDA Eastern Division Convention, ready to be inspired at every turn and surprise! It's cold outside, with perhaps just a little bit of snow (hopefully not as much as last year). For any of the three mornings while we are there, I invite you to start your day with a moving, meditative session of T'ai Chi Chih and other movement styles. See for yourself how these simple techniques will center you and focus your breath while building your core and balance for strong conducting...Read the rest at the ACDA East Blog.
