School is right around the corner, so what better time to focus on ACDA sponsored Student Opportunities and Teacher Resources?
I hope you'll read all about these initiatives and opportunities, and then take a moment to take a survey about our ACDA East Website, and consider donating to the Keggereis Student Scholarship Fund.
As always, we're listening, and we're here to serve.

ACDA Teacher Resources
As the school year approaches, here are some great ACDA resources to help you plan, and bring you closer to your choral colleagues in the field:
- ChoralNet is the vibrant online community owned and operated by ACDA where you can start a discussion about repertoire, ask the community for advice on just about anything choral, or advertise one of your upcoming concerts. And to always be in the loop, you can subscribe to the "ChoralNet Daily," an email digest with all of the previous day's topics listed in an easy to read format right in your inbox, ready when your coffee is. The best part is it's free--you simply have to register. If you haven't already registered, do so now by going here.
- ChorTeach is ACDA's online magazine for choral director/music educators who are searching for answers and need fresh ideas or techniques to meet practical needs. The articles are gleaned from state ACDA newsletters around the United States, and are an invaluable resource and a breath of fresh air to those of us teaching choral music at all levels-check them out (you must be logged in as a member to read the articles).

ACDAEast Website Redesign coming...
We're in the middle of redesigning our website, and we need your help! Here are two ways you can assist us in designing a useful site that celebrates the vibrant Eastern Division Choral Community:
1) In order to know what would be most helpful to our members, I invite you to take a short survey here. It should only take 2-3 minutes of your time, but will be invaluable to us in learning what you, our members, most want the site to become.
2) We continue to receive fantastic photos of our Eastern Division Choirs in action, and we'd love to include some pictures of you and your choir in action.

Photos must either be your own, or if they are the work of
a professional, you must have permission to use them (and permission for us to re-use them).
Send digital files to dfryling@acdaeast.org and put "Eastern Division Choir Photos" in the subject line. Please include your name, the ensemble's name, and where and when the photo was taken, and perhaps your ensemble will be a part of our new site!

A call for Donations to the Kegerreis Scholarship Fund
Richard Kegerreis (1928-2002) contributed enormously to ACDA through his service as editor of the Eastern Division's Troubadour, as national coordinator of newsletter editors, and as editor of New York's state newsletter Choral Cues. To honor these contributions, as well as his life as a dedicated choral conductor and mentor, the Board of the Eastern Division in 2002 established the Kegerreis ACDA Eastern Division Conference Scholarships.
Your donation to the fund is the gift of a transformative experience for our future conductors. Donate today by clicking here.
