Our summer camp directory is taking shape and many have opened registrations early this year for those of you that want a jump start.

Mid-February can be brutal, especially when the snow melts and we have to resort to indoor playtime. So, it's perfect timing for SpMom staffer Lauren Coleman's recommendations for the Top Ten Indoor Adventures with Preschoolers here in Springfield. Take a look and let us know what your children most enjoy on a cold winter's day!
There's no better time than now to start something new!  The Springfield YMCA's Winter 2 Session begins next week, and registration is open now. Look through the YMCA's Winter Session 2 online brochure. Take a look - you'll be surprised at the interesting options, from traditional swimming lessons to fencing for ages 10-adults, art classes for all ages, and dozens of fitness and wellness classes. Refresh and renew!
Boys and girls ages 11 and older are encouraged to register for the FREE Babysitting Clinic presented by Friends of Memorial. At the clinic, participants learn about how to care for a baby and what to do in the case of emergencies. Register now!
It seems like once you have 100 LEGOs, you have 10,000 LEGOs! You know they are everywhere, and it's the perfect time to round some of them up and donate to a great cause! The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois recently received a grant from the Community Foundation to launch a Lego Robotics league at nine sites in Springfield. If your kids have outgrown their collection or if they have some they can spare, please consider donating LEGOs to the the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois.  Do you have a nonprofit organization you'd like us to feature in a future e-update? Let us know!
