From the desk of Janna Bass...
August is such a fun month in that it is a chapter of new beginnings... school is starting, planning for holiday events, returning from summer vacations and more. In the Chamber office, it is not different. While this month we have had a great time celebrating with our Members of the Week and through ribbon cuttings as we recognize new chamber members and accomplishments throughout Sampson County, we also strive to continue to provide opportunities; opportunities to our members through social media advertising, marketing, net working at our August Business After Hours and more. However, August has been our planning month as well, not only for the next couple of months but for the future. We have continued in the planning with community partners for the Available Properties Open House, New Member Showcase, and other events of September. We have also begun thinking of the holiday season with our 3rd Annual Chamber Coat Closet Project, Christmas in the City, and the Christmas in Clinton Parade. The Chamber is continuing to work with the NC Step Program in both Garland and Roseboro as well as Main Street Program in Clinton as we work on economic restructuring and the vision for the future. We thank each of you for your support and dedication to the Chamber and Sampson County and we continue to encourage each of you to contact us and let the Chamber work for you! |
Chamber Day
The Town of Turkey Chamber Day was August 2nd, held at the Town of Turkey Town Hall. Janna Bass enjoyed the opportunity to sit down with current members to discuss how the Chamber can continue to help with their needs. She also was able to share with non-chamber members the opportunities the chamber provides to our members and the partnerships throughout Sampson County. Thank you to the Town of Turkey for helping host this event. The next Chamber Day is scheduled for September 6 with the Town of Harrells.
