Intense ruby red in colour. Ripe, fresh, and round with plum fruit, mulled spice, licorice, tobacco, and black cherry notes mingling through the finish. Nice acidity holding the finish together. Pair with pasta, roasted veal, poultry, red meats, and strong cheeses.

The nose has blackberries and licorice up front, softens to yield stewed cherries and a touch of orange peel. Palate is surprisingly plush and soft for a young Cabernet. It has layers of red fruit and spice with typical Okanagan bright acidity that gives it plenty of life and length. Finish is persistent with a warm cherry and vanilla flavour and supple tannins.

"The 2013 shows a little more complexity and elegance than the 2012, that I tasted a few weeks ago, which was also an opaque purple red blend of malbec with syrah and bonarda. Expect aromas of black cherry jam, blueberry and red grapefruit with delicate oak spice. It is full bodied and flavourful with some firm tannin giving grip and acidity for vibrancy.
