Tasting Notes

Light golden hue gives the wine a beautiful appearance. The nose is very expressive giving off aromas of pineapple, white peach and pear. There is a beautiful spicy vanilla aromatic with a buttery and baked bread aroma. The pallet is a beautiful combination of stone fruit; nectarine, apricot and then leads to tropical notes of banana and guava, finishing off with zesty lemon/lime zip. It has a spicy gram cracker note that gives this medium-full bodied white a lovely honeyed finish.

Tasting Notes

Deep and pronounced ruby red in color, with tremendous aromatic intensity reflecting fresh red fruits, such as strawberries and plums with a touch of jam and sweet spice. Aging in French oak lends a well-balanced aromatic contribution featuring vanilla and caramel over a toasted backdrop. The palate is smooth, with well-rounded tannins and good structure accentuated by dairy and notes from the oak with elegance and breadth.

"The junior partners bring something to the party, as always - a touch of spice in the aroma is almost certainly the Cabernet Franc while the Syrah adds a hint of leather on the finish. The flavours are all about Merlot - black currant, blueberry, blackberry. The full texture in the mouth reflects the Merlot and the silky tannins developed in barrel and in bottle aging. The hint of sage on the finish is quintessential South Okanagan. Alcohol is 13.8%. This is an elegant red with the ability to develop another 10 years in
the cellar."
